The death of Brittany Murphy may have been caused from Anorexia.
In her last movie, the TV film ‘Tribute’, Murphy is very skinny. MSNBC has also reported that a magazine cancelled a recent photo shoot of Brittany because she was “painfully thin”.Her last interview was on December 3 where she admitted she was thinner but said it was because of “dance lessons”.
Also earlier this month Brittany was fired from her latest movie ‘The Caller’, reported to have been because of her “difficult behaviour”.
While police have said there was no foul play involved in the death of the actress, friends are saying that she did not eat a lot and drank lots of coffee. While it was often rumoured that she had a drug problem but no illegal drugs were found in the house following her death.
However, the actress was on medication for a flu-like disease for a number of days before her death. Her death could be linked to prescription drugs, just as Michael Jackson’s death by cardiac arrest was because of
So the question is what can cause cardiac arrest in a 32-year old? Anorexia definitely can cause cardiac arrest. Limited food intake can lead to electrolyte imbalance that leads to metabolic slowdown. The weight loss adds stress to the cardiac system over time. Sudden cardiac arrest in a young, healthy person is extremely rare.
Flu can be another potential cause of cardiac arrest. Brittany was sick with the flu days before her death. She was reported to be suffering massive vomiting beforehand and compiled with the virus can cause inflammation of the body and the system to collapse. However, that raises the question “why wasn’t she hospitalised days before”?
A family of history of heart disease could be an issue. The family history of the Murphy family is currently unknown.
Diabetes can cause cardiac arrest as well, but there is no record of Brittany having the disease.
Like the Jackson death, a coroners report with toxicity results is expected to take weeks.
