The condition that caused CBS news reporter Serene Branson to slur her speech during a Grammy Awards live cross may have been caused by her heart.
It is yet to be revealed what really did happen to Serene who unintentionally became a viral smash after people initially laughed at her situation thinking she was just taking gibberish.
But today doctors are saying that she showed classic signs of a stroke or heart problem when she attempted to do her live report from the Staples Center on Sunday night.
CBS 2 Los Angeles has updated reports with, “As many of you know CBS2 reporter Serene Branson experienced some health-related problems last night during our post-Grammys newscast”.
“She was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast. Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized”.
“As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home. And while Serene says she is feeling better today, she wants us to know she followed-up with a visit to the doctor for some medical tests”.
“Serene thanks everyone for their concern and good wishes and hopes to be back on the air very soon”.
Doctors viewing the video have said that Serene shows classic signs of having a mini-stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA). A TIA is started by a blood clot that generally clears quickly and without damage.
You can also see the side of her face start to droop as she tries to talk.
One-thing doctors have said after the incident is that it shows how ignorant people are in recognizing strokes. Serene became a viral laughing stoke as people quickly sent video footage of her around the globe.
She is yet to return to work.
