Rick Springfield Plays Rick Springfield In Californication

Rick Springfield is playing Rick Springfield in Season 3 of Californication and he does a fine job taking the piss out of being Rick Springfield.

The Australian star plays a degenerate rock star that comes to stay with the Runkle’s and proceeds to play lead with the lady of the house Marcy Runkle (Pamela Adlon).

The line of the show is Hank Moody (David Duchovny) telling Charlie Runkle (Evan Handler), “What are you doing mopping in the fridge. 80s pop legend Rick Springfield is in there stealing your girl. Not Jessie’s Girl, your girl, Runkle’s girl”.

And if you think Rick Springfield (Rick Springfield) can play a degenerate to the note, then also watch Sue Collini (Kathleen Turner), the other new star of the season.
