Sydney songstress Sarah Blasko has ventured to Stockholm, Sweden to work on her third album with pop mastermind Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn and John.
Blasko has been far from on holiday since she last graced our media. She spent time at home in Sydney writing the album, before heading to Paris where she based herself during a European tour.It was during her time in Europe that she decded on Yttling after seeing his name pop up on the back of some of her favourite records, including Lykke Li and Camera Obscura.
“I sent him a letter and some music and within about a week he got back to me and said he was interested, so I went and visited him in Stockholm and we hit it off,” Sarah said in a statement. “He showed me the great studios we could record in, he had some great ideas and a lot of enthusiasm and I just felt we could make a good record together. The snowy conditions also won me over...”
The album is scheduled to take six weeks, and she’ll be keeping us all updated via her blog on www.sarahblasko.com.
