Tex Perkins next album will be somewhat different to what you have heard by Beasts of Bourbon, The Cruel Sea or Tex, Don & Charlie. Introducing The Ladyboyz.
Perkins had an idea. “I would record an album of classic cover versions, songs so good, so irresistible, so well known, so...classic, that the general public would have no choice but to hunt down, buy and love a bunch of songs that they can hear on Gold fm pretty much every day of the week anyway..... hmmm....” he says.His next chore was talking his famous buddies into going along with the idea. Jimmy Barnes said yes. He sings on `You Make Me Feel Brand New`. Jet`s Nic Cester said yes. He sings on `Hold The Line`. Adalita from Magic Dirt wasn`t shy to getting into `You And Me`. Suze Demarchi came along for `We`ve Got Tonight`.
Tex will take his Ladyboyz on the road from October.
