Singer/Songwriter Rick Price will play John Denver in ‘The John Denver Story - Take Me Home Country Roads’ to open in Melbourne in July.
Price will tell the story of John Denver through more than 20 of his biggest hits. Denver released 24 albums on RCA Records. His 1973 ‘Greatest Hits’ album stayed on the Billboard chart in the USA for three years.
‘The John Denver Story - Take Me Home Country Roads’ was written by Jim McPherson, who also penned the Johnny Cash story ‘The Man In Black’, starring Tex Perkins.
The team for this show features Simon Myers as Executive Producer/Co-Director (The Man in Black/The Ultimate Rock’n’Roll Jam Session) Andrew Barker as Producer (The Man in Black/The Ultimate Rock’n’Roll Jam Session) and Jodi Gallagher as Co-Director (The Ultimate Rock and Roll Jam Session).
‘The John Denver Story – Take Me Home Country Roads’ will play at the Athenaeum Theatre in Melbourne for 2 weeks from July 1.
