Bob Dylan has just delivered his fastest selling album since 'Desire' in 1976. 'Modern Times' has debuted at number one in the USA with sales of 192,000 units.
The album has had global acceptance and the US success follows similar debuts in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Denmark, Norway and Switzerland.The lead-up to the release featured a heavy campaign through iTunes. An iTunes advertisement featured the 'Modern Times' song 'Somebody Baby'.
Dylan also made a music video for the track 'When The Deal Goes Down' with acclaimed director Bennett Miller (Capote).
'Modern Times' is the third album in a trilogy which started in 1998 with the Grammy Award winning 'Time Out Of Mind' and continued with 2001's 'Love and Theft'.
Dylan is currently on a tour of baseball stadiums across the USA.
