There’s barely any movement on the ARIA album chart this week… so more sales for Adele.
Adele’s 21 continues her reign at the top of the ARIA album charts this week, and recent regulars keep hanging around.
Damien Leith’s Roy tribute album is at two, Ronan Keating’s Burt Bacharach tribute album hops back up to number three, then we have k.d lang, Foo Fighters, strong staying power from the Wombats, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez and Michael Buble.
This is obviously a hangover from the Mother’s Day chart of last week, with last minute purchases fuelling a MOR stasis.
The highest debut is Stevie Nicks’ In Your Dreams at 24, then comes The Royal Wedding album at 39 and Emmylou Harris’ Hard Bargain at 48. And that's it.
Otherwise, it’s the usual suspects from the last weeks, months, and in some cases years.
Buble is at number ten this week over a year after he first released Crazy Love, Katy Perry’s One Of The Boys is back in after 66 weeks, Florence And The Machine remains after 70 and Angus & Julia Stone cling on to their 61st week in the chart, at number 50.
Gaga’s Fame Monster re-entered the charts at 34 in anticipation of her forthcoming Born This Way.
Otherwise, no significant drops or climbs. Hopefully Rome or Moby or Ben Harper or Kate Bush or anyone at all give the charts a butt-kicking next week.
