English art-rock sextet Hope of the States have called it quits, after a rather underwhelming response to their second album, 'Left'.
The band announced through BBC 3's Colin Murray that their last ever show would be at the Reading festival, this weekend. The band had endured much industry hype that was almost impossible to live up to, but that seemed insignificant compared to the suicide of guitarist Jimmi Lawrence in the studio as they were finishing their debut 'The Lost Riots'.
Their live show was renowned to have spectacular, well planned visuals and epic music to go with it.
