Doctor and author Deepak Chopra and film maker Shekhar Kapur were scheduled to have dinner with Heath Ledger on the day of his death. Chopra had seen Heath the previous day.
Chopra told US Magazine that Heath was "tired and emotional" when they met and talked about missing his daughter Matilda. The following night, the pair were to catch up with Kapur, who directed Heath in the 2002 movie 'The Four Feathers'.
Chopra has described the mood of the Aussie actor as "depressed" but added that it was unlikely that Heath would have taken his own life.
The initial autopsy proved inconclusive and the results after more tests are expected within the next few days.
Heath was found surrounded by prescription drugs. It is thought that he may have died of an accidental overdose or even a heart-attack.
Ledger's body has been flown to Australia for a private funeral in Perth later this week.
Heath's parents, Kim and Sally Ledger, will not be announcing funeral details to the media.
