Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Ween and Future Of The Left are among the first acts announced for next year's Golden Plains festival at Meredith.
They'll be joined by: The Vines, Iron & Wine, The Dirtbombs, Beirut, The Bang Gang Deejays, Optimo, British India, Buffalo Tom, Crookers, The Bamboos, South Rakkas Crew, The Scientists Of Modern Music, Jane Badler & Sir, Jay Reatard, Pikelet, Kamikaze Trio, and The Sea & Cake.Now in its second year, the countryside festival takes place on Victoria's Labour Day weekend, namely March 8-10, at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, a couple of hours drive west of Melbourne.
The sister festival of December's Meredith Music Festival, Golden Plains is a limited capacity weekend with no corporate sponsorship. More acts will be announced as the festival draws closer.
