The label of the late Jay Reatard has announced a slew of unreleased material, a documentary and a Golden Plains live album.
Following the death of garage rock brat Jay Reatard last year, his label Shattered Records has been collecting rare and unreleased material from this cult hero.
Members of Reatard’s 7-inch record club, the Shattered Club, can look forward to a record featuring two new songs recorded just before he passed away: ‘You Get No Love’ and ‘I Am Growing’.
Also, Shattered Club members will be able to get a full live album from man, a 14-track recording of his set from Victoria’s Golden Plains festival in 2008.
There will be more unreleased material appearing in the coming months, including test pressings, t-shirts, a full-length documentary on the man, and a definitive “greatest hits” collection.
Reatard, born Jimmy Lee Lindsay, died just over a year ago on January 13. He was 29.
