Golden Plains have announced a speech by futurist and variously otherwise qualified smart-guy Dr. Peter Ellyard.
Dr. Ellyard will be delivering the keynote speech at Golden Plains from 10am, Sunday morning. His topic will be “Golden Plains 2050” a topic which festival organisers describe as “a cheeky handle by which Dr. Ellyard will no doubt pick up a broader topic.”
Aside from his current day job of Chairman of the Preferred Futures Institute, the Preferred Futures Group and Chairman of the Sustainable Prosperity Foundation, the doc has also been Executive Director for the Australian Commission for the Future, a Senior Advisor to the United Nations, a Senior Consultant the UNEP, UNDP and UNESCLO and director of Green Cross Australia.
He has also authored two books, ‘Ideas For The New Millennium’ and ‘Designing 2050: Pathways to Sustainable Prosperity on Spaceship Earth.’
