Electrelane are splitting up, albeit it without actually admitting it. No, according to them, the band are going on "indefinite hiatus".
A message on their official website explains, "We have decided that the upcoming gigs will be our last for the foreseeable future. After ten years of much fun and hard work, we have realised that we all need a break and time to do other things. This was a tough decision for us to make, but ultimately a positive one."The band will honour their current touring commitments, leading up to December 1, where their final show will be in their hometown of Brighton, U.K.
The band formed in 1998 and have since become cult heroes of the indie rock scene.
But hey, It's not breaking up if they call it an "indefinite hiatus", is it? Chin up!
