Australian hip hop pioneer Elf Tranzporter announces his solo debut 'Ethereal Lotus Fleet'.
After growing up in LA, this hip hop stalwart began his Australian career with one of the nation's pioneering hip hop acts - Meta Bass N' Breath. The group one lead the nascent hip hop scene in the '90s and their cassette even featured in the artwork of DJ Shadow's 'The Private Press' album.Since then, Elf has become somewhat of a hip hop oracle, collaborating with scores of acts. With a socially conscious streak, Elf has performed with John Butler Trio, True Live, TZU, Combat Wombat, Diafrix, even Australian High Court Justice Michael Kirby. He has also supported heroes like Allen Ginsberg, Jurassic 5 and Nitin Sawhney.
Three years in the making, 'Ethereal Lotus Fleet' is his first solo effort and a place to showcase his poignant and liberating lyricism. DJ Wasabi, and Joelistics and Count Bounce from TZU provide beats alongside his sharp raps. Guests come in the form of rap princess Maya Jupiter, dancehall master Mista Savona and divas Vida-Sunshyne and Supina.
'Ethereal Lotus Fleet' is set for release on October 27, with tour dates to come.
