R&B great Fats Domino will have his music awards replaced in a ceremony in New Orleans next week.
The music legends house and all of its contents, including his Gold, Platinum and Industry awards were destroyed during Hurricane Katrina.Lost were more than 20 of his original awards presented to the entertainer over his 50 year career.
EMI Records will present Fats Domino with awards that he earned from the label on Monday.
Fats Domino was best known for the 50s classics 'Ain't That A Shame' and 'Blueberry Hill'.
EMI will also release the new compilation 'Walking Into New Orleans' next week featuring 30 tracks.
Coming soon will be the tribute album 'Goin' Home: A Tribute To Fats Domino', featuring covers of his songs by Paul McCartney, Norah Jones, Neil Young, Elton John, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, B.B. King, Willie Nelson, Robert Plant, Dr. John, Bonnie Raitt, Art Neville and Lenny Kravitz.
