50 Cent has accepted a challenge from Kanye West that the pair lock horns in a debate when their respective albums are released on the same day in September.
The monumental clash of egos (or, perhaps more precisely, the clash of monumental egos) will take place on the release date of September 11. The pair will state their cases as to whose album - West's 'Graduation, or Fiddy's 'Curtis' - is the superior release.West, under some goading from the presenters, announced the challenge on US radio station 'BET's 106 & Park'. Fiddy responded during a television interview, claiming, "I accept the challenge. Kanye, he's not going to want to show up. Just don't be asking me if I am a conscious rapper. I know exactly what I am saying - so I am conscious."
West will likely position himself as an 'intelligent' rapper, one who rallies against the commercial focus of artists such as Fiddy.
