When Jesus Jones were name-checked on ‘Family Guy’, they loved it.
Jesus Jones’ keyboard player Iain Baker said that after the show aired and video appeared online fans started sending him links. “Somebody sent me it on YouTube,” he tells Undercover.fm. “I thought it was really funny”.
In the episode they hear that people in the Middle East only heard 1980s rock music for the very first time recently. “Just wait until they have to suffer through Jesus Jones,” Stewie quips.
“They are only taking the piss but its really funny,” Iain said. “After 20 years, none of us take it seriously”.
In fact Iain falls short of blaming the bands name for the jokes they get. “When you have the word ‘Jesus’ in your name it is always going to send someone up the wrong way,” he said.
