Jesus Jones, The Wonder Stuff and The Clouds will tour Australia in August, presented by Undercover.
Select Touring will bring together three of the 90s biggest indie bands for shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Jesus Jones topped charts all over the world including the UK, USA and Australia with their global smash ‘Right Here, Right Now’ in 1991. Their fame even had them name-checked once in an episode of Family Guy.
At the same time Jesus Jones were all over Triple J so too was The Wonder Stuff. When The Wonder Stuff teamed with Vic Reeves for a cover of the Tommy Roe 60s classic ‘Dizzy’ in 1991, they went to number one on the UK chart and broke into the Australian charts.
While all of this was going on out of England, in Australia Jodi Phillis, Trish Young and Tim Oxley where developing out of Sydney’s pub circuit as The Clouds. Their 1991 ‘Penny Century’ album, fuelled by Triple J airplay at the time, went Gold and is an ultimate example of Sydney’s indie rock scene for the time.
Jesus Jones, The Wonder Stuff and The Clouds will perform in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, presented by Undercover in August.
Tickets will go on sale from June 24.
