Brisbane’s punk, garage rock band Screaming Tribesmen will reform for The Gathering Festival in September.

The band formed in Brisbane in 1981 and were together in various forms until 1993.

Guitarist and vocalist Mick Medew started the band with John Hartley on bass and Murray Shepherd on drums before former Radio Birdman, the Hitmen guitarist Chris ‘Klondike’ Musuak, bass player Bob Wackley and drummer Warwick Fraser became the most stable line-up for seven years.

Their 1988 song ‘I Got A Feeling’ got them heavy MTV airplay in the USA.

The Gathering Festival will take place in Brisbane in September 17th, 2011. The line-up will be the classic line-up of Mick Medew, Chris Musuak, Bob Wackley and Warwick Fraser.

Bob lives in the USA, Chris now lives in Spain. Both will return to Australia for this show.

The line-up also includes The Wilson Pickers, Toothfaeries, The Vaudeville Smash, Band of Frequencies, The Rooftops, The El Caminos, Glokenspiel, The Informants, Toxic Harden Gnomes, Lil Fi & the Famous 4, The Jim Rockfords, Bertie Page Clinic, Bon Fromage, Tranvaal Diamond Syndicate, John Malcolm, Bang Bang Boss Kelly and Dave Flower Band.
