Australian underground rock legends The Screaming Tribesmen line up an East Coast tour.
Heroes of Australia’s underground rock scene in the ‘80s, The Screaming Tribesmen were born in Brisbane but hit with ‘Igloo’ and ‘A Stand Alone’ on Citadel in their adopted town of Sydney.
They then hit big on the college rock circuit in the US with their first EP ‘Date With A Vampyre’ and followed up with European tours and the Blood Lust and Formaldehyde albums before calling it quits in 1993.
Almost everyone and their dog have been part of the band, including Died Pretty’s Ron Peno and Hoodoo Gurus’ Brad Shepherd.
The reunited line-up is the defining and most-enduring one: guitarist-vocalist Mick Medew; guitarist Chris "Klondike" Masuak (also of Radio Birdman and The Hitmen); bassist Bob Wackley (also of Razar) and drummer Warwick Fraser (also of Feather and Hoi Polloi).
Musuak and Wackley are coming in from overseas for these extra special ‘Return To Transylvania’ shows in September.
Tickets for the Brisbane and Melbourne shows are available now through OzTix and the Sydney show through Zombie Dog Entertainment.
