New Zealand band Mi-Sex will reform for a few shows soon to mark the 30th anniversary of The Radiators.
Mi-Sex were one of the biggest hit bands in Australia in the early 80s with a string of hits including ‘Computer Games’, ‘People’, ‘Space Race’, Blue Day’, ‘But You Don’t Care’, ‘Falling In And Out’ and ‘Castaway’.The band broke up in 1985 and then tragedy struck when singer Steve Gilpin was killed in a car crash on the Gold Coast in 1992.
A surprise singer has been rehearsing for the shows that the band is keeping secret until the first show on December 4.
The Radiators released their first album “Feel The Heat’ in 1980 and have been touring ever since. They went platinum in Australia on sales of their debut album ‘Feel The Heat’ and the singles ‘Coming Home’ and ‘Gimme Head’.
The Radiators 30th Anniversary Shows with Mi-Sex will also feature Screaming Jets, Spy V Spy and comedian Chris Franklin.
