AC/DC have plans to release an album “within the next couple of years”.
The comment came from guitarist Angus Young, who told bangshowbiz.com: “At some point we’ll be touring again once we get a new album out, which will hopefully be within the next couple of years.”
The band, who in their first four years managed to release nine iconic albums, have not been known for their speedy recording processes of late, so when they say “within the next couple of years”, that’s actually pretty fast, considering their last record ‘Black Ice’ came out in 2008.
Their Black Ice tour saw them playing once again to enormous crowds. Their Australian leg of the tour set ticketing records. If you were one of the squillions of people that checked the show out, you can relive it with their live DVD ‘AC/DC: Live At River Plate’, which hits stores next week.
