Brazilian superstar DJ and producer Amon Tobin announces his eighth Ninja Tune album.
The influential producer is preparing his new album Isam for release.
It’s pitched as a psychedelic sci-fi odyssey and another artistic leap in a career filled with them.
He began the album by recording field sounds (which is something The Streets had a crack at for his most recent effort) and then built the sounds into playable instruments.
Tobin says of the process, “It’s by far the most exciting development in my personal quest for some control over nature. Anything from a grain of found sound to my own voice can be transformed into something new.”
Isam will be released on lauded electro label Ninja Tune via Inertia in Australia on May 13.
