While there has been no official word as to what happened to Slayer singer Tom Araya to have him end up in a Sydney hospital yesterday, we hear he will be released today.
Slayer had to cancel their Soundwave slot yesterday in Sydney after Araya was rushed to hospital.
The band has an late afternoon slot at 5:45pm on the festival between Kylesa and Ill Nino.
Soundwave 2011 also features Iron Maiden, Queens of the Stone Age, Slash, Rob Zombie, Stone Sour, 30 Seconds To Mars, One Day As A Lion, Primus, Millencolin, Pennywise, New Found Glory and Sum 41.
Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah has stated via Twitter that Tom will be fine for the next Soundwave show in Melbourne this Friday.
