Early reports said CBS Los Angeles newsreader Serene Branson may have suffered a stroke while doing a live cross from the Grammy Awards for CBS News last night but has now been revealed she just had a technical problem
Just as Serene was introduced she began to slur her words. What looked like a stroke causing immediate speech problems for the reporter now appears to have been a delay in her ear-piece. CBS cut short the report.
Video of the introduction quickly swept across YouTube after an aural gaff.
A statement issued by CBS reads Serene Branson was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast. Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning,”
