Long-unseen footage of Australian country icon Slim Dusty is to be released on DVD.
The CD and DVD package has been successful already, but what makes the Gold Label Edition extra special is that it will include a DVD of rare live performance from 1999.
Slim and his Travelling Country Band (a highly regarded line-up of the group) played an eight-song set at the ABC’s Studio 22.
It was shot in front of a live audience at ABC Sydney’s Gore Hill studios and was the very last filmed concert before he passed away in 2003.
The Gold Label edition booklets will also feature personal reflections on Slim and his song from his wife Joy McKean, who was herself a storied country songwriter and winner of six Golden Guitars.
The Very Best of Slim Dusty Gold Label edition will be release on January 14.
