Davey Lane has started tracking his first solo album at Hothouse Studios in Melbourne.
The You Am I/Pictures guitarist is working on the record with Brett Wolfie on drums and Finn Keane behind the knobs.
Lane has been a member of You Am I since 1999 and is also the frontman for The Pictures.
Last year, he dropped into the Undercover studios with Tony Featherstone to put down three tracks for Undercover’s uSessions, two of which will be featured on the solo record.
Lane and Featherstone performed the two unreleased tracks ‘Get It Back Again’ and ‘Sinking May’ from the forthcoming solo album as a sneak preview for Undercover.
