Davey Lane Joins Phrase

The new Phrase song ‘Apart’ features Davey Lane from You Am I and The Pictures.

‘Apart’ is from the third Phrase album ‘Babylon Out’, due in August. Davey does lead vocal on the chorus.

Phrase has a history of recruiting rock stars for his albums. In 2009, Spiderbait’s Kram featured on ‘Skylight’. He also reinvented Wendy Matthews ‘Day You Went Away’ on the ‘Clockwork’ album.

Davey has been lead guitarist for You Am I since 1999. He is the frontman for The Pictures and was a guitarist in Aussie supergroup The Wrights. Lane has also been part of the Jimmy Barnes band and once toured Europe and Australia as part of Crowded House.

He is also working on a solo record for release sometime before the end of this year.
