Davey’s Four Night One-Man Racket is just another addition to the successes the Melbourne artist has achieved in an already flourishing 2013. Taken from the forthcoming album, The Good Borne of Bad Tymes, debut single You’re the Cops, I’m the Crime is slated for release in June. After having been previewed to fans and critics alike as a free downloadable demo, the track has already seen successes such as debuting at #8 on the AIRIT Now Charts, being awarded Single of the Week in both Street Press ‘Beat Magazine’ and ‘Drum Media Perth’, and received spins on triple j and community radio nationwide – and that’s just the demo, recorded in Davey’s bedroom. The official version, produced by Tony Buchen (Tim Finn, Phrase, John Butler Trio, Andy Bull, Gin Wigmore) will be accompanied by a second remix by renowned hip-hop producer M-Phazes, the single version of You’re the Cops, I’m the Crime promises to be an exercise in pop perfection.
