Pink’s Greatest Hits holds the top spot on another safe ARIA charts in the lead up to Christmas.
The ARIA Weighted Album Chart is looking pretty dull, as Pink’s Greatest Hits... So Far holds a strong position at the top for the second week running.
Bringing up number two is Susan Boyle’s Christmas covers album, then Ronan Keating’s Duets, then Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits.
It only gets interesting with the debut of Kanye West’s epic My Dark Beautiful Twisted Fantasy at number six.
Guy Sebastian’s Twenty Ten debuted at nine, My Chemical Romance’s Danger Days: the True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys at ten, Glee’s Christmas album at 13, Nelly’s 5.0 at 17, and Mark Vincent’s Great Tenor Songbook at 18.
Other debuts include Springsteen at 22 and Take That at 65, reflecting labels hesitant to release anything original in the run up to Christmas.
There hasn’t been much movement this week either, although Taio Cruz’s Rokstarr shot back up from 118 to 57 and A Day to Remember came back from 72 to 24.
Otherwise, it’s a stable chart full of the big winners of the year, including Powderfinger, Washington, Eminem, Katy Perry and scores of Greatest Hits packages.
