The fifth annual Golden Plains festival in country Victoria has seen a record number of punters enter the ballot, but despite overwhelming demand, have made a promise to keep the festival the same size.
The festival, which is notably smaller than it’s twin Meredith, has so far released tickets via a ballot, which has been more popular than ever. If you won in the second ballot and you have a code, you have until 10pm Wednesday, November 17 to use it.
If you still don’t have a ticket or a ballot code, you have one last chance at scoring. Tickets will go on sale the old fashioned way - in stores - on Thursday, November 18 at:
Greville Records - Prahran (Opens 10am)
Polyester Records - Fitzroy (Opens 9am)
Polyester Records - City (Opens 9am)
Missing Link - City (Opens 9am)
Cafe Go - Geelong (Opens 7am)
Karova Lounge - Ballarat (Opens 12 midday)
Swell Cafe - Jan Juc (Opens 7am)
In case you need a reminder of why you should get your arse down to that festival, the lineup is:
Belle & Sebastian, Os Mutantes, The Hold Steady, Joanna Newsom, Best Coast, Hawkwind, Architecture In Helsinki, Wavves, The Clean, Jamie Lidell, Airbourne, Pulled Apart By Horses, The Middle East, Mount Kimbie, Boy & Bear, Robert Forster, The Besnard Lakes, Cosmic Psychos, Justin Townes Earle, J-Wow feat. MC Kalaf, Wildbirds & Peacedrums, Imedla May, Bamboo Musik DJs, Brain Children, Graveyard Train, World’s End Press and Magic Kids.
Good luck to all!
