The Break have a singer, if only for one song. Dan Sultan has become the first singer for The Break for a cover of the Split Enz classic ‘Shark Attack’ on the ‘He Will Have His Way’ album.
The Break is Midnight Oil’s Rob Hirst, Jim Moginie and Martin Rotsey with Violent Femmes’ bass player Brian Ritchie. They play instrumental surf music.
‘He Will Have His Way’ is the male companion album to the female version ‘She Will Have Her Way’ that was released in 2005. The album pays tribute to the songs of Neil and Tim Finn.
The Break released their debut album ‘Church of the Open Sky’ earlier this year.
