The 2010 AIR Awards took place at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre last night, celebrating the city’s vibrant independent music scene and Dan Sultan was the big winner.
The night went off with a bang, although the audience seemed more intent on schmoozing than watching the ceremony itself.
Dan was voted Best Independent Artist and also won the award for Best Blues and Roots album.
Performances from The Amity Affliction, Cloud Control, M-Phazes showed off Australia’s diverse independent talent, and the awards themselves couldn’t have gone to a better bunch of artists.
But let’s cut to the chase, shall we? The winners are:
Best Independent Album
