Dan Sultan, The Wiggles and Paul Kelly are the latest ARIA Award winners as ARIA announces pre-event awards during this week.
Sultan, the big star of the recent AIR Awards, has picked up the Best Blues and Roots Album award for ‘Get Out While You Can’.
The Wiggles won ‘Best Children’s Album’ for their latest ‘Let’s Eat’. The title track is a variation on the Mental As Anything classic hits ‘Let’s Cook’. The Mentals were label mates on Regular Records with members of The Wiggles when they were the rock band The Cockroaches.
Finally, ‘Before Too Long: Triple J’s Tribute To Paul Kelly’ took home Best Original Soundtrack.
ARIA will announce Best Jazz Album, Dance Release and Urban Album tomorrow (Wednesday, November 3).
The ARIA Awards will be handed down this Sunday in Sydney.
