Michael Chugg and Molly Meldrum in bed together? Now there is a visual that will take years to remove from your mind. But don’t fear, it is not what it sounds like. Molly and Chuggi will be holding the “bed-in” at One Movement this weekend to mark the 70th birthday of John Lennon.
Lennon, who was gunned down in 1980, would have turned 70 tomorrow.
As part of the anniversary, Chugg, Meldrum and a panel of industry figures will re-inact the famous 1968 John and Yoko bed-in.
Lennon and Ono held their “bed-ins for peace” over two weeks, firstly from Room 902, the Presidential Suite at the Amsterdam Hilton between 9am and 9pm every day from March 25 to March 31, 1969.
They then flew to Montreal and did it again from the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in rooms 1738, 1740, 1742 and 1744 over seven days.
During “the bed-in” media were invited to join them for interviews. The Perth bed-in tribute will take place tomorrow (October 9, 2010) at One Movement in Perth.
