Australian music journalist and guru Molly Meldrum is fighting for his life after falling whilst hanging Christmas decorations.
Meldrum was rushed to the Alfred Hospital yesterday afternoon after sustaining serious injuries from the fall. Surgery was performed late last night in an attempt to reduce pressure on his brain and he remains in a critical condition. The next 24 hours will be crucial in his fight for life.
Reports have also indicated that Meldrum has suffered a possible puncture of the lung and broken ribs.
Already well wishers have sent Facebook and Twitter into a flutter with their concern and love for the 65 year old music legend.
Meldrum is an Australian household name due to his work in music as host of Countdown and regular interviews with superstars of music.
