Tools from the Memphis funeral home that were used on Elvis’ body will be auctioned soon.
The instruments and assorted paraphernalia will form two lots of dubious taste at an August 12 auction by Chicago's Leslie Hindman Auctioneers. On offer are rubber gloves, forceps, lip brushes, a comb and eye liner, needle injectors, an arterial tube and aneurysm hooks, which were all used only once, specifically for The King.
A spokeswoman said that there is also a, "preparation room case report, the case sheet, dry cleaning tags, the hanger to the singer's suit and tie and the coffin shipping invoice, which are marked 'Elvis Presley'."
Presley's toe-tag will also be auctioned, labelled 'John Doe' because his real one was purloined by a fan at the hospital where he was taken following heart problems in August 1977.
The items will be split into two lots which are expected to fetch up to $8,000 each.
