Sure has been a while since Guided By Voices released anything. But that is all about to change.
Fuse is proud to announce the upcoming release of LET'S GO EAT THE FACTORY the first album of new material in fifteen years from American indie icons GUIDED BY VOICES.
The band have been "reunion" touring all year and have decided to end their slog with the release an album of 21 new songs. Twenty One New Songs ! GBV were so pleased by the repsonse to their "reunion tour", (take note it was not supposed to be a reformation let alone a means to release a an album of 21 new songs) that they thought, what the hell, people liked the tour and there is an obvious chemistry between the band so what the hell, lets make a record of 21 new songs.
GBV didn't have much time on their hands with the reunion tour so LET'S GO EAT THE FACTORY was built in the living rooms, basements, and garages of various long-time bandmembers.
MOJO give it four stars and claim that the new album "... stands proudly alondside GBV’s ragged former glories.” But I think I love the response of SPIN the best " “There’s blood flowing through this record”
