The Strokes are planning their first single as a limited-time free download.
The first single from their new album, ‘Under The Cover Of Darkness’, was actually slipped out in snippet-form on their Amazon listing yesterday.
Now the band have decided to go the whole hog and release their first single in five years as a free download, but only for 48 hours.
The song will be available on February 9 from 7:35pm (US time) for two days from their website thestrokes.com.
Of course, you’ll still be able to buy the real thing, as a limited edition 7-inch record, on ‘Record Shop Day’ April 16.
The full album, titled Angles, will be released on March 21 in the UK and March 22 in the US.
