The first non-Oasis album from Liam Gallagher will be released mid year the singer hopes. He says he will start recording in April.
Talking to XFM, Gallagher confirmed his band features former Oasis member Gem Archer on guitar and Andy Bell on bass.Gallagher said on radio that he was disappointed that Oasis only released 7 albums in 16 years. “I just think it’s poor, really,” he said alluding that his solo career will be a lot more proactive with new music.
Despite what Liam suggests is a piss poor recording effort Oasis did manage to clock up 31 of the Top 1000 songs of all time on the XFM survey, 3 of which made the Top 10. ‘Live Forever’ (3), ‘Wonderwall’ (7) and ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ (10).
Their ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory’ album is also up for an award at the BRITS for the top album of the last 30 years.
