Liam Gallagher has said that he wants to cast Johnny Depp in his forthcoming Beatles movie.
The ex-Oasis and current-Beady Eye frontman’s company In 1 Productions is making a film based on Richard DiLello’s 1973 Beatles’ history The Longest Cocktail Party.
He wants Johnny Depp to take the part of the band’s publicist Derek Taylor.
Contact Music reveals that he told Q magazine, "I want Johnny Depp to play Derek Taylor. It's got Johnny Depp written all over it, man."
The notoriously hyperactive singer is crowing about the film before it has even been cast.
He said, "The film script is done. It's gonna blow people's minds, man. I'm just waiting to find out when we choose the actors.
It’s been said that DiLello’s book was already virtually a script, and he wrote the script for Sean Penn’s 1983 film Bad Boys and 1998 film Colors.
