Iron Maiden fans will be as thrilled as Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson with the announcement that they have topped a HMV poll dedicated to finding the best British albums and films released during Queen Elizabeth II's reign.
The poll results for the top British album of the past 60 years contains just the one good surprise, with The Beatles taking four of the top 10 places, which is no surprise at all. Iron Maiden's monumental album "The Number Of The Beast" released in 1982 topped the poll. The album has sold 14 million copies and is home to the classic "Run To The Hills".
