Consummate bigmouth Liam Gallagher slams Radiohead for writing about “old trees” rather than “new trees”.
Delivering a typical sweary interview with The Quietus about the album by his new band Beady Eye, Liam Gallagher weighs in on Radiohead’s The King Of Limbs.
He and bandmate Andy Bell were discussing why they haven’t added any beats to their new music, despite growing up in electro and hip-hop heavy Manchester in the ‘80s.
After confirming that they’re happy being a rock and roll band, Gallagher decided to chip in on Radiohead’s new, electro-tinged album The King Of Limbs.
“I heard that fucking Radiohead record and I just go, ‘What?!’,” he said. “I like to think that what we do, we do fucking well. Them writing a song about a fucking tree? Give me a fucking break! A thousand year old tree? Go fuck yourself! You’d have thought he’d have written a song about a modern tree or one that was planted last week. You know what I mean?
Another gem from the loudest Gallagher brother.
