The spotlight of UK TV show 'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here' has led '80s Australian pop icon and actor Jason Donovan to return to music.
Donovan came third in the kitschy Survivor-esque celebrity show and has indicated an urge to return to the studio. Upon his return from the jungle in his home country, the 38 year old was quoted as saying, "I liked singing in there. Singing is like jungle food - it gets you through." He continued, "I'm taking it one step at a time. I have been working on some new material."The multi-million selling pop singer and soap actor has been treading the boards on UK stages in recent times. In November, Donovan launched a new song on his purportedly official myspace. The swooning radio-friendly pop-rock tune "Good Day", was written by him, Steve Booker, Shep Solomon and Robin Lerner. His myspace hints that he is working with UK music company Q-Zone.
There have also been talk of Donovan will return to the West End after his turns in stage versions of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' in 2004 and 'Sweeney Todd' in early 2006.
