Peter Garrett, the former Midnight Oil frontman, now Arts Minister for the Australian Government sees nothing wrong with pirating music. In fact, he has signed up to be a pirate.
Garrett will perform pirate shanties for The Rogues Gallery at the Sydney Opera House on January 28.Garrett will be on stage singing pirate songs with Marianne Faithfull, Liam Finn, Sarah Blasko, Peaches and actor Tim Robbins.
The Rogues gallery was conceived by Johnny Depp and director Gore Verbinski while they were on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean. The show will bring “fables of the pirates and sailors of the high seas to life”.
