The funeral of Brittany Murphy took place on Thursday December 24 and the Clueless star has now been buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
The private service was attended by close family an friends with both a Rabbi and a Christian minister presiding,The Murphy family issued the following statement. “A bright light that lit the world is forever dimmed, but will live on in the hearts of those that Brittany touched. Brittany was an incredibly loving and passionate person and an artist to her core.”
Murphy rose to fame as a high school student in the 1995 hit ‘Clueless’ and then went on to make more hit movies with ‘Girl Interrupted’, ‘8 Mile’ (with Eminem) and ‘Just Married’.
The much in-demand actress has two movies still to be released and was about to start work on a comedy.
32-year old Murphy died following a cardiac arrest last Sunday and the autopsy result has inconclusive although Police do not consider any foul play.
The official coroners report is not expected for some weeks.
