As was heavily rumoured, The Pixies will headline the first Australian V Festival in March and April of next year.
Joining them on the bill so far are international stars Pet Shop Boys, Groove Armada, Gnarls Barkley, Soulwax - Nite Versions, The Rapture, Phoenix, 2manydjs and Softlightes, as well as local acts Bumblebeez, The Mercy Arms The Temper Trap.At this point, only Sydney and Gold Coast events have been announced. Sydney takes place at Centennial Park on Saturday 31 March, Gold Coast at Avica Resort, Merrimac on Sunday 1 April. These two locations represent the biggest market for touring festivals in Australia, with the Gold Coast and Sydney Big Days Out - the touring festival which takes place two months earlier - the only BDOs to have sold out so far.
