Indie rock legends You Am I release their first ever live DVD.
Long regarded as one of Australia's greatest live bands, the new DVD called 'Who Are They, These Rock Stars?' features their 2006 performance at Sydney's Mint, where they launched their seventh album 'Convicts'.The show was introduced by special guest host Tex Perkins of The Cruel Sea, Beasts Of Bourbon and most recently as part of a country duo with You Am I frontman Tim Rogers, dubbed T'N'T. The performance features tunes from almost their entire catalogue, fifteen tracks in all including classics like 'Mr. Milk', 'Cathy's Clown' and 'Berlin Chair', as well as seven cuts from 'Convicts'.
The DVD also has a host of extras, including video clips, a recent interview with the band and photo galleries. It's due for release in Australia on December 2.
No strangers to the stage, You Am I keep their seemingly never-ending tour schedule on track. They've just returned from wowing crowds in the US and the UK and they continue to tour Australia through November and December, hitting all the major rock festivals: Homebake in Sydney, both Falls Festival dates and on the road with the Big Day Out in 2007.
