Triple J has announced the new hosts of the 2010 breakfast show will be Tom Ballard and Alex Dyson.
19-year old Tom and 21-year old Alex will be the youngest breakfast team in Australia when the show gets underway on January 11, 2010.In making the announcement Triple J assistant manager Ann Chesterman said, “Tom and Alex will be a stand out on breakfast radio in 2010 - they’re fresh, intelligent, funny and smack bang in the demographic of the triple j audience. The show will be very interactive not just on radio but cross platform opening the conversation between Tom and Alex and their audience.”
The Robbie, Marieke and The Doctor program will come to an end in 9 days.
Robbie Buck will move from Triple J to ABC’s 702 in Sydney. Marieke Hardy, the granddaughter of Power With Glory author Frank Hardy and grandniece of comedian Mary Hardy has been writing for shows like Packed To The Rafters. Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall might have time for a few more Frenzal Rhomb gigs.
